HS2 High Speed Train
HS2 Train
Crown BC asked me to join them for a long-term freelance contract. The aim was to create a design language for HS2 High Speed Train Two. I mainly had to communicate to residents of over 50 areas in The UK, all possible details about the train construction work due to start. HS2 High Speed Train Two will allow to travel from London to Manchester in just few hours. It was important to create an easy to understand content and look, which people of every age and culture would have appreciated to read. A part from being straight-forward, I decided to create a cheerful tone of voice in order to give the right vibe to the company.
Moreover, HS2 employers asked me to read through construction information related to territory, timing, type of work and graphically translate them into an infographic timeline, icons and maps. I had to translate the information into an easy to understand language, imagine how to display such information and think about the look I wanted to give to them, which had to be in line which HS2 identity. I was the only designer working on the project and I have taken care of 50 brochures, until all work was well structured and visually complete, for full time designers to continue working on.
At Crown BC I worked closely with Project Manager Megan Mulholland who was a great to work with.
