As my work increasingly moved into digital, I found myself drawn to UX/UI — where creative intuition meets analytical precision, and thoughtful design turns complexity into meaningful, human-centred solutions.
My Journey
I’m Francesca Martorelli, a UX/UI Designer and Digital Branding Specialist passionate about crafting user-focused products. My work blends creativity and purpose, solving real-world challenges with clarity and impact.
In 2019, I founded Above Brand, a sustainable multicultural beer brand that resonated with audiences for its innovative branding and packaging.
I have had the privilege of shaping and evolving global brands such as Google, YouTube, Nivea, The Body Shop, Ballantine's, Philips, KPMG, Odido, Airwick, Nike, Waitrose, Formula E, and Mercedes-Benz, collaborating with leading agencies and in-house teams like Pearlfisher, Oliver, Landor, Design Bridge, McCann, Sky, Hill+Knowlton, DDB, TBWA, and Fitch to deliver impactful design solutions.
As my work increasingly moved into digital, I found myself drawn to UX/UI — where creative intuition meets analytical precision, and thoughtful design turns complexity into meaningful, human-centred solutions.
I completed the UI/UX Design Specialization at the California Institute of the Arts through Coursera in 2021, the Google Rare Leadership Academy in 2018 and 2022 (as one of 70 globally selected), the 8 months General Assembly UX/UI bootcamp in 2024/2025 and I am interested in a part-time Master in Human–Computer Interaction because I’m fascinated by how technology influences behaviour, emotions, and well-being, and how systems can respond empathetically to human needs.
I believe in working purposefully, creating a better world, and fostering respect and connection in a society too often dominated by individualism. I enjoy mentoring younger designers and leading ambitious projects that challenge me and allow me to make an impact.
I also love portrait photography, children’s books, interior design, hip-hop, literature, psychology, and pilates. Animated movies are my ultimate source of joy and inspiration.
Design has shaped my independence, built resilience, and fuels my growth by connecting me with people and ideas. In my free time, I explore projects that bring fun — street photography, children’s books, tiny clay miniatures, and ambitious ventures like Above Brand Beer, an eco-friendly, multicultural, charity-driven brand for creative minds.
